It’s been a little while since I’ve done an installment of my dream house alphabet, and that is because I’ve struggling with what to do for G. This isn’t to say that I had a lack of options. A huge personal wish is a open-concept great room. But part of me also argues against this since I want and old, character home in the heart of Toronto, and often they are not built like this. I also want some practical G items, like a garage, but let’s face it, a garage isn’t glamorous enough to make this dreamy dream house list (especially since I’d be using it for storage and not anything special). Finally, after looking through my blog, I noticed that a large quantity of the photos that I have posted and reblogged have a GALLERY WALL (so feel free to look around my blog to see many more stunning examples!). And so finally, this is what I’ve decided on for my G must have. Best of all, it’s achievable for any one in any place on almost any budget!
^I’m a big fan of gallery walls going up the staircase.
^ You can add other items to your gallery wall besides just framed images. In the picture above, a decorative mask is used.
An easy way to create a cohesive look is to buy a bunch of frames in the same colour, such as white, and then mix in a few dark and metal frames to add interest. What you choose to frame is really up to you! I like the look of a combination of colour photos, black and white photos, graphic images, and bold texts:

Enjoy, and if any of you have your own gallery walls, please submit! I’d love to see them.
