Be Mine Interior Design

A peek into my washroom, which I redid about the same time I did my bedroom. Before I redecorated, the walls were covered in a childish fishy wallpaper. Remember, I had very little money to make over these spaces, and since I’m still living at my parents’ house, I couldn’t do any sort of demo. Therefore, I had to work with what was there in terms of fixed elements such as flooring, shower tiles, vanity and counter top. This also includes the grey sink, grey tub, and grey toilet, but I kinda dig them.

View from the hall: I used a monochromatic scheme of varying shades of grey, with some black and white.

View from the tub:
The paint colour is called “pewter mug” and has a purple-ish undertone, so a deep, plumy purple became my accent colour. The plum was inspired by my sea shell collection.

Shower curtain: Home Hardware, around 20$
Crystal shower curtain hangers: Zellers, 14$ for the set
Crystal cabinet knobs: Home Depot, 6$ each

My chandelier!!! I love it and it picks up the crystal details of the knobs shown above.

Finally, my inexpensive DIY art project!

Silver frames with a graphic print. I bought the frames at Walmart for 29$ each, and to get the prints I simply went to a local wallpaper store and got free samples cut from wallpaper. Pick out prints that go with your colour scheme. The ones I chose also go well with the pattern on the shower curtain. Cut out the part of the print you like most and put it in the frame!

Line up three in a row, showcasing different parts of the pattern and voila! (The one in the middle is the same wallpaper but in a a plum colour scheme! How perfect is that?).
